Hello...

I am Arpita, founder of C/O Clay Studio. Few years back in 2017 I started my journey with clay, not knowing that one simple hobby workshop will turn into so many rich experience in my future life.  As time passed, I witnessed how much clay has been holding me as a medium during my every peak and valley of life. During all these years clay always amazed me with its infinite scope of exploration. I kept exploring the medium both in terms of art and the healing prospects of clay.

As much as I love creating and exploring this medium for my own creation, I equally enjoy sharing the influence of this medium with others I come in touch. My love for meeting new people and talking to them gets another dimension with the presence of clay. Both creation, exploration of medium and guiding others to get started to use clay via workshops hold utmost importance to me. My classes are influenced by Clay Conversation practice. I am going to tell you more about Clay Conversation very soon.

My Work...

I love exploring new ways of working with clay. All my pieces are solely made by me with utmost care. As much as I love making symmetric functional pieces on wheel or by hand building, to complement that my off centered, asymmetric pieces come into the picture. You will see lot of play with glazes on my pieces. I thoroughly enjoy experimenting with glazes in each of my kiln load. I enjoy the freedom of converting my imagination into a piece so I mostly don’t accept custom orders or I do not emphasize a lot on recreating my old work.

I do undertake interior projects depending on the synchronization of client’s reequipment and the scope of my studio space(as this is a small home studio).

Please get in touch to know more about our products. Refer to contact us page or you can visit my studio to buy one for yourself. And definitely handmade one-of-a-kind ceramic products are one of the very distinctive gift you can get for your special ones.

Our Studio...

C/O Clay Studio came into existence during later month of 2018 as a space where I could have the liberty to do my own work and may be sell a few if others like my work 😊. Like every other studio this place also took its own time and pace to develop and grow. Seeing this place evolve is one of the very thrilling experiences indeed. Each visiting person of this place added one more spike to the vibration of the space. We want this space to grow and evolve at it’s own pace. We are not in a rush to run fast with its growth, neither do we want to slow it down. The idea of this space is to grow in a free flow manner.

This studio has witnessed many visitors for short or long span of time and some became more like a family eventually. The idea of this space it to help its students connect with clay i.e. earth and enjoying kinship, which has become very difficult for most of us in our busy schedule and life away from nature.

This space has heard so many life stories in it’s really short time and we are really grateful for that.

The studio is very much open to visitors and students but as this is a working studio, and pottery needs lot of physical and mental presence, we don’t allow visitors or students for Walk-ins. We would appreciate you taking prior appointment to visit or booking a slot to attend a workshop.
