Surface Decoration Techniques

2nd June to 11th June Time: 11:30 -2:00 pm This course is designed to help you learn different surface decoration techniques from scratch to take your pottery skills to the next level. Here are few things that will be covered in this course: #Making your own simple pieces as guided for surface decoration. #Sgraffito and Mishima technique from scratch #Different ways of using clay to make the surface more interesting & dramatic. #Mocha diffusion technique #Working with tensile and other basic print transfer methods #Wax resist technique #Slip trailing # Leaning to make one slip from scratch. We will use few basic colors to learn the techniques. We will primarily use under glazes and slips for all the techniques. Students are encouraged to pay more attention to the techniques than to colors that are used for the course. You will take the finished products home once they are fired. There will be one meeting after all the articles are ready after firing to discuss the end result and if there are any questions from the students. PS: This course is for someone who has basic understanding of clay. Not for beginners.
