Wheel Basics (20 years & above)

Service Description

Date: 1st - 17th December(Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday for three weeks) Time: 11:30- 2:00 pm (Guided session) 3:00pm-5:00 pm ( Students can access the studio space to practice) Pre-requisite: No prior knowledge of working on wheel is needed. An intensive learning on wheel for three days per week through three weeks. The course will include: week 1: -Learning how to measure and prepare clay for wheel. -Learn to center the clay on wheel. -Basic technique to make a cylinder on wheel. Week2: -Continue basic practice of making cylinders on wheel.. week3: -learn to trim or finish manually (all pieces) -Students will be guided through different wedging techniques. (from day 1) -Students will learn how to handle clay after using it on wheel. To be consider before enrolling: -Each students will have 15 kgs of clay to use for the course. - For practice session students have to buy clay(if needed) , it won't be provided. -Total 10 articles, per student as per their choice, will be fired. Extra articles will be charged 550/- per piece. -Guidance for glazing is not included. -If students are interested for guided glazing class, a separate one or two days class can be organized. -This course doesn't include teaching multiple shapes. Aim of the course to get the students more aware of the process of working on wheel. PS: Everything that is needed for the class is included in the course fee.
